Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately receiving and storing product and accurately filling customer orders by picking the correct product, staging pre-pulls, and loading trucks for route delivery. The Warehouse Associate I will support will call activities by providing exceptional customer service to will call customers, retrieve will call orders in less than 20 minutes, and load customer vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Gartman (IBM i) or similar WMS system.
  • Previous experience with a forklift, pallet jack and RF Scanner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of experience operating forklifts, packaging material, and loading trucks.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a warehouse environment performing warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, order pulling or will call duties.
  • Shrink wrap machine and RF Scanning experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, operating a forklift and working in a warehouse environment with varied temperatures.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds at times, bend, stretch, and pull product.

Responsibilities:

  • Support all functions within the warehouse: receiving, shipping, will call, inventory and maintenance/clean up.
  • Unload trucks and accurately receives product into the Gartman system.
  • Pull and stage orders for route deliveries and for Will Call customers.
  • Follow Activity Management procedures (formerly QMS) to accurately complete work assignments.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF Scanners in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Promote and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner in support of company policies and procedures. The expectation includes reporting any potential hazards as well as correcting potential unsafe situations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and warehouse environment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
