About the role
Warehouse Controllers are required to effectively lead and control the receiving process in accordance with segregation of duties and CARM requirements. They are required to perform high focus on delivery accuracy and prompt document processing.
The role ensures that all deliveries to the plant are accurately processed in a timely manner and in accordance with defined specifications.

- The Nigerian beer market is very complex with many competitors and a strong quality, cost and delivery focus. There is a need to constantly improve supplier relations and eliminate all receipt related non-conformances.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Owns and champions all receipts to the brewery.
- Work closely with the MRP Manager and Central Planning Team to effectively manage non-conformances.
- Liaise with the Store Technicians and other internal customers to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the stores.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the receiving process in accordance with segregation of duties.
- Manage Raw Materials inventory to support GN supply chain in meeting customer / consumer satisfaction and to ensure accountability.
- Maintain GMP in raw material warehouses.
- Accountable SLOB Inventory accuracy
- Ensure FEFO while managing raw materials to prevent SLOB.
- Ensure that all deliveries to the plants conform to quality specifications and quantities are verified.
- Generate and consolidate receiving critical metrics and supplier performance measurements.
- Implement the company materials management strategy regarding the receiving processes and internal customer service level requirements.
- Liaise closely with the Asset Care, Brewing and Packaging departments in the early material management processes to ensure the correct raw materials are available as and when required.
- Ensure that materials are always protected against deterioration.
- Ensure that quality inspections are performed as and when due.
- Effectively manage the Return to Vendor process.
- Maintain relationships with Finance and Procurement in the handling of non-conformance and return to vendors.
- Produce reports at agreed frequencies to flag items about to be OOS to relevant partners.
- Conduct stock counts to ensure zero variance between expected and actual stock.
- Manage the receiving process to ensure that all deliveries are consistent with pre-defined quality standards, purchase order details and fast and accurate identification.
- Ensure that all goods receipt transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
- Ensure security of delivered materials against damage or pilferage.
- Ensure the smooth flow of materials through the stores to facilitate accurate real time inventory records and ensure materials availability.
- Manage all non-conformances and return to vendors in an accurate, timely manner and assist Finance and Procurement in resolution of non-conformances.
Experience Required
- OND in or Higher in science or business-related field.
- proven experience in a Brewery or FMCG manufacturing environment in inventory management.
- Sound technical knowledge of raw materials, goods, equipment, and related spare parts.
- Proficiency in use of ERP systems, preferably Maximo/SAP.
- Good understanding of the fundamental principles of Materials Management.
