Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Coordinator provides support to job site supervisors by ensuring equipment and tools are ordered and packaged for each job. This role ensures proper repair and/or replacement of equipment and tools as well as manages the warehouse to ensure efficient and accurate inventory counts, ease of cataloging, and efficient order picking.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Grade 12 is an asset
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a warehouse environment; preferably construction industry
  • Experience using ERP or Inventory Management Systems
  • Proven ability to use construction cost control financial package
  • Occupational Certifications:
    o Forklift license
    o Driver’s license with Clean Driver’s Abstract
    o Transportation of Dangerous Goods
    o WHIMIS
    o Occupation First Aid Level 1

o Fall protection

  • Knowledge of best practices in warehousing, order picking, and inventory management
  • Industrial and warehousing health and safety policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of transportation principles and methods
  • Knowledge of Remediation, Abatement, ER and Demo an asset
  • Ability to prepare Purchase Orders, experience with Receiving
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 Lbs.
  • Comfortable driving a 2 ton truck
  • Able to wear all PPE where required (steel-toe boots, hard hat, full face mask)
  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills

  • Displayed thoroughness and self initiative
  • Strong communication skills– verbal, reading and written
  • Knowledge of cross-border customs procedures and required documentation a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and follow Corporate Health and Safety Program, Policy and Procedures
  • Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring stock levels are accurate and regularly audited.
  • Ensures health and safety is considered in the performance of all activities
  • Set, enforce, and maintain clear policies for warehouse and inventory
  • Post items in Inventory Management system on a frequent basis
  • Ensures tools and equipment are picked, packed and ready for collection or delivery
  • Using manifests, keep track of any and all hazardous waste
  • Ensure warehouse is organized, clean including disposal of all hazardous waste and compliant with safety regulations.
  • File and keep records of equipment requests
  • General maintenance of tools, equipment and shop vehicles.
  • Assist with coordination of inter-Canada or cross-border shipments
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts; including complete inventory for year end
