CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3- 5 years of supervisory experience in an FMCG warehouse, including administrative duties
- Operational knowledge and experience leading warehouse, transport and inventory control activities in a unionized environment is required
- Valid forklift licence (highly desirable)
- Experience using SAP (highly desirable)
- Experience in improving operations, introducing processes, systems and measures is required
- Strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills is mandatory as is ability to build and sustain positive relationships within team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel, Outlook, Work and PowerPoint

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Knauf Australia is seeking a passionate, experienced, and reliable Warehouse DC Supervisor to join our ambitious team in Port Melbourne, VIC. This is an autonomous role and much of your time will be spent working with your team and key stakeholders (customers, supply team, manufacturing, customer service). Your responsibility is improving safety, delivery service performance and stock control. You will be leading a dynamic team, building talent from within, fostering existing stakeholder relationships and building new ones.
A significant part of the role will be managing Distribution Operations in finished goods through change in a safe way and constructive way driving team engagement and performance. Key importance will be focusing on your ability to provide clear sense of direction as well as creating an environment that supports individual growth and high-performing teams.
This is a dayshift position which reports into the Logistics Manager.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing and driving end-to-end distribution operation performance (safety, service, operational, finance) including Receipt/Put-Away, Stock Control, Pick/Pack/Ship and Transport
- Distribution team management, development, performance, and engagement
- Work closely with Customer Service Team, Manufacturing, Planning and other internal stakeholders to ensure common goals are achieved
- Previous experience in inventory management
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all warehouse documentation and maintain materials handling equipment and company trucks.
- Ensuring that Knauf Australia values are part of the operational culture and all decisions and actions
- Leading transformation and continuous improvement programs at site
