Description:
OVERVIEW
Giftcraft is seeking a skilled and reliable MHE Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of material handling equipment, including Raymond Reach, Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Order Picker. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the flow of merchandise through the warehouse, ensuring materials are retrieved and prepared according to production and shipping schedules. QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in replenishment, putaway, or similar roles involving the safe operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) in a warehouse environment.
- Valid Raymond Reach, Order Picker, and Walkie licenses with Fall Arrest certification.
- Trained in the safe use and wear of fall arrest equipment.
- Solid knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and WHMIS.
- Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, frequent reaching, twisting, bending, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Availability to work flexible hours and shifts to accommodate changing business needs.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills (both verbal and written in English), with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with a commitment to a continuous improvement culture and achieving company goals. (A positive attitude is a must!)
- Safety shoes/boots are required for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Replenish stock by handling pallets and cases to ensure inventory is up to date.
- Put away pallets and cases into designated reserve or picking bins.
- Move stock by case from the QC area to the appropriate picking bins.
- Pick multi-line orders by case using equipment such as reach trucks or order pickers.
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to verify the accuracy of item counts.
- Transport parcels to their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production area at all times.
- Keep accurate logs documenting the movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods.
- Adhere to the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and Giftcraft’s internal health and safety policies by following established rules and procedures.
- Report potential hazards or unsafe conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report any defects or safety concerns.
