About the job
NewCold is seeking a General Manager to help support our growth and the development at our new Coaldale, Alberta Warehouse. As the Site Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Warehouse Operations for a state-of-the-art highly automated cold-storage facility.
What you will be doing
Manage the local warehouse team and provide a level of service satisfying customer requirements, at a level of cost agreed in the budget.
Oversee a supervisory team that leads daily site activities, driving results that exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Adopt the NewCold culture and uphold company values, ensuring that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on-site.
Direct the operational team in alignment with company policy, ensuring that agreed standards are understood and met.
Complete local KPI templates and share information internally, engaging the local team to search for improvement opportunities.
Monitor and control all expenditure with a focus on payroll costs, reacting quickly to adverse variances.
Structure communication on-site to include daily team briefs and shift handovers.
Communicate with relevant parties any process deviations, quality issues, and service deficiencies, or risk of failure in these areas.
Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by the Management Team.
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of warehouse operations management experience (preferably automated warehousing or food industry expertise)
Strong P&L, finance, operations, team management, site planning and stock control experience
