SKILLS REQUIRED:

People Management skills

  • Familiarity and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. (Excel especially)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Use of appropriate PPE, where needed.
  • Successfully pass AEM’s Controlled Goods Program security assessment.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the people, processes, and resources of their department. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for demonstrating leadership, communicating with employees, and supporting the people and processes of the department. The purpose of the Warehouse Lead role is to support the Supply Chain Manager in maintaining a safe, efficient, and effective work environment for their department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure work is suitably assigned and distributed amongst the employees and schedules are accurately and effectively managed and maintained.
  • Identify performance and or quality issues and bring them to the attention of the Manager as needed
  • Monitor and uphold AEM’s Quality and Safety policies and procedures
  • Mange sensitive information as required
  • Monitor and/or manage employee efficiency, absenteeism, and tardiness and report to Manager for action
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team in the purchase of parts/ products (inventory and consumables) and resolving any discrepancies on received items from external suppliers
  • Collaborate with Operations Leads in identifying and organizing resources, including labour (e.g. overtime, etc. when necessary)
  • Oversee, Review for accuracy, and/or support Execution of the day to day operations such as receiving, putting product away (into Stores) , opening/closing Work Orders, kitting, monitoring parts shortage report, prioritizing kitting per production urgencies or kit schedule, cycle count and/or shipping as per the Order Book.
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of products to both internal and external customers.
  • Prepare and coordinate work for employees and ensure that required documents, material and equipment are available and functional.
  • Participate in employee selection, training, evaluations, and performance management.
  • Participate in employee business goals and career development discussions.
  • Participate/ Leads the Department Daily Huddles (PVCs)
  • Participate, encourage participation and/or lead in the identifying and execution of continuous improvement ideas and projects in their department.
  • Liaison with other departments as necessary
  • Provide coverage for Manager in case of absence or delegation.
  • Manage level 1 issues/ complaints and escalate to Supply Chain Manager and/or when necessary to Operations Manager.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Department’s processes, system or equipment and troubleshoot technical issues, as necessary.
  • Train and/or oversee the training of new employees.
  • Maintain Records and schedules as needed.
  • Complete other tasks/ duties as assigned.
