The Warehouse Lead’s core responsibilities are overseeing all inventory movements on the floor beginning at receiving material. The role ensures material is unloaded and stored in the proper locations, certify correct quantities have been received, perform needed computer work to receive in system and conduct weekly inventory counts to verify system data is correct. The Warehouse Lead also facilities order picking and prioritizes last minute rush orders to maintain service levels before handing off to Shipping/Receiving. This position prioritizes safety above all and ensures daily maintenance and housekeeping tasks are compliant with safety standards.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts a plus
- High School diploma or GED required

Responsibilities:
- Oversees warehouse personnel to make sure product is picked correctly.
- Inputting 3 safety observations each month and leading by example.
- Ensures items coming in are placed in the appropriate area.
- Ensures that all orders are picked for that day.
- Responsible for ensuring that pictures are being taken during packing.
- Conducts all daily forklift and crane checks each morning; escalates any issues to Operations Supervisor.
- Responsible for posting orders into Navision as a back-up to Operations Supervisor.
- Ensuring Warehouse Personnel are printing the mill certs with each ticket.
- Execute cycle counts weekly to ensure that Navision is accurate.
- Perform quality checks during each process.
- Storing final products in proper locations.
- Preparing materials for shipping.
- Lifting of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies.
- Maintaining that all personnel is abiding by 5S standards.
- Works with Operations Supervisor to utilize personnel as needed for Warehouse tasks.
- Adhering to all safety and quality principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
