ABOUT FOOD AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Anglicare’s Food and Financial Assistance (FFA) programs provide community pantries, material aid, financial capability, financial counselling and no-interest loans to people impacted by financial hardship. We aim to be capability-focused and community-centred, walking side by side with each person seeking our support.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Anglicare has an exciting new opportunity for a Warehouse Logistics Manager to help lead our Community Pantry and Warehouse team. Working alongside community pantry staff, FFA site teams and church / community partners, this role will focus on optimising Anglicare’s new warehouse in Western Sydney. You will lead the development of effective and efficient logistics processes, contributing significantly to increased productivity and impact in our community food relief work.
You will focus on implementing an improved inventory management system and be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace culture. You will manage exciting projects alongside FFA colleagues, with the express aim of enhancing Anglicare’s capacity to provide more food to more people in more places. This role requires you to work from the FFA Warehouse in Western Sydney
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT LIMITED TO):
- Coordinate all FFA Warehouse activities, deliveries, orders and rosters.
- Recruit and lead a team of Warehouse staff, volunteers and trainees, ensuring appropriate supervision, development and training opportunities.
- Foster a safety culture by ensuring staff and visitors maintain safe, clean, efficient and tidy workplace, and comply with safe work practices.
- Ensure strategic supplier and partner relationships are managed to ensure best possible outcomes for Anglicare’s community services work.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory management system to ensure accurate and efficient stock control, providing reports and data analysis to management as needed.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are streamlined, productive and that procurement expenses are managed within budget.
- Lead and contribute to projects aligned with Anglicare’s strategy in financial capability and food sustainability in collaboration with Head of FFA and Senior Program Managers.
