About the role
The overall purpose of the role is to work with the warehouse coordinator and warehouse pick/pack team, ensuring all customer orders are met, planned and delivered as specified by individual customers.
The person will be a key figure in developing good working relationships with all operational employees, the role will maximise co-operation between planning, production and customer services.

What will you do?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Promotes the company’s Health & Safety ethos ensuring all are working in a safe manner, in a safe environment.
Responsibility for all aspects of site warehousing ensuring lead times and commitments is met in-line with customer orders.
Ensures OTIF targets and internal loading KPI’s are to plan.
Responsibility for ensuring quality of products shipped and Customer SLA’s are met.
Operates to the most efficient methods.
Plans daily labour in-line with required volumes.
Communicating regularly with the warehouse coordinator and any other relevant internal Departments to ensure issues concerning sites, Contractors, and any other customer contacts are shared and dealt with effectively, efficiently, and promptly.
Communicate at all levels within the business to ensure the customers’ expectations are exceeded in all that we do.
Plan, prioritise and self-manage daily activity to be as efficient and effective as possible within this role.
Look to control warehouse costs through planning, labour and production efficiencies.
Responsible for insuring deliveries meet in-line with customer expectations and customer specifications,
Organise in-coming deliveries ensuring stock is booked on arrival.
Responsibility for overseeing month end finished goods stock takes.

Working with the site manager to reduce logistics costs.
Relationships and Roles: Internal / External Cooperation
Sets examples in areas of personal character, commitment, time management and organizational skills, and work habits in line with Company best practice.
Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees and those of our customers both internal and external.
Liaise effectively with Haulier / partners building robust relationships.

Your profile
The individual must have the right of residence and to work in the UK. They should be located within a reasonable commuting distance to the Site in Howden.
Ability to be both hands on and a leader at the same time.
Excellent communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Professional, friendly, and resourceful approach and strength of character.
Good analytical skills with experience of logical decision making.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to clearly recommend action and communicate effectively to senior management.
