We are looking to recruit a full time Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join our Cookstown Team.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full understanding of tools and techniques for problem solving.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, etc
  • Intact IQ software knowledge would be desirable.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment, part of which time involved the direct management of people.
  • In depth knowledge of logistic processes and stock management would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills
  • A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all the departments within the warehouse including; warehouse operations, stock control and the delivery team.
  • To constantly review operational processes to ensure warehouse productivity.
  • Planning of delivery schedules and Driver/warehouse rota’s, ensuring adequate staffing levels across all the departments in the warehouse to complete delivery runs.
  • Proactively plan and engage with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach and effective resolution of issues impacting the stock management process and warehouse function.
  • Ensure the accuracy and strict control of all relevant documentation and administration relevant to your area.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment. Including maintenance of operator’s licence, vehicle tax, insurance paperwork etc
  • Overseeing the Stock Control team and ensuring that accurate and periodic stock takes are being undertaken.
  • To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation and stock transfer.
  • Implement and promote the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Warehouse. Responsible for identifying any health and safety needs and taking any corrective action required
  • Responsibility to ensure structured training and development for self and team to enhance skill levels, product, knowledge, flexibility, absence cover, health, safety & welfare of your team.
  • To be a key holder and open / lock up at appointed start and closing times if required.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
