Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe handling of all inventory and shipments. This role is critical in maintaining the flow of goods from our production facilities to our customers, ensuring that all products are stored, and distributed, according to industry standards and company protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively navigate a demanding work environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
- Ability to become Forklift Train the Trainer certified.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to operate narrow aisle and reach forklifts
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 pounds].
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various warehouse conditions, including temperature-controlled environments.

Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to improve workflow, efficiency, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Strong collaboration with plant department managers to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the plants processes.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts and minimize discrepancies.
- Oversee and effectively manage the weekly, monthly, and year-end inventory counting process, and implement corrective actions for any variances or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the procurement and production teams to forecast inventory needs to effectively manage reorder levels.
- Effectively navigate and fully utilize the ERP for WMS to track inventory, pull reports, and perform traceability and mock recall audits for both finished goods and raw materials.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective leadership and communication.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to minimize risks and ensure employee safety.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for participating in assigned training and implementation programs related to Safety, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; serving on food safety auditing and compliance committees, and monitoring employee work practices to ensure that all food safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and staff performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse transactions and activities.
- Customer Service:
- Work closely with the customer service team to address and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment and product delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders to meet customer expectations.
- Promote positive customer, carrier, and supplier relationships to maintain stable operations.
- Ensure quality of all Warehouse related services and processes within the facility.
