Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the flow of bulk and packaged raw materials through receipt, storage, inter-warehouse movements, and outbound finished product shipments. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and control of all inventory including raw materials and finished goods using ERP systems. Supervises employees in support of receiving, storage, handling and shipping functions and outlying functions of inventory inspections, cycle counting and housekeeping.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science degree in related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of related experience and training.
Knowledgeable of basic Leadership and Managerial principles.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to analyze written information, such as procedures, against practice in order to propose change. Ability to write basic procedures and work instructions. Ability to present information and respond to questions from peers, supervisors and managers within the organization. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, internal customers and in some cases external customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage the flow of raw materials from warehouses to point of use.
  • Maintain accurate inventory using ERP systems and accommodate timely resolution of discrepancies by implementing countermeasures.
  • Coordinate and schedule carriers for outbound bulk shipments in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule cycle counting of all warehouse locations.
  • Establish and implement practices and procedures, including ERP guidelines, to achieve an efficient warehouse.
  • Support the control of non-conforming inventory by coordinating warehouse activities.
  • Conduct employee training and hold employee communication meetings to include safety topics, operational updates, performance and housekeeping issue and continuous improvement. Maintain documentation of employee training.
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve performance. Complete and administer annual performance reviews.
  • Participate in incident report and corrective action investigations.
  • Monitor and maintain good housekeeping in areas of operation.
  • Monitor equipment for maintenance and repair.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
