WAREHOUSE MANAGER - EVENINGS - SYSCO LIMERICK

As part of our Recipe for Growth we are looking for an Outbound Warehouse Manager to join our team at the Newcastle West warehouse facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader looking for a rewarding career experience within an industry renowned, global organisation. Focused on leading our Outbound Warehouse function at our Newcastle West site, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of all outbound activities within our state-of-the-art distribution centre serving the island of Ireland.
We are looking for energetic candidates who are comfortable with developing and leading collaborative teams to drive performance in line with our Purpose and Vision. This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco - keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

General management and overall leadership of a team of team leaders and general operators across all outbound warehouse activities in line with strategic KPIs.
To contribute to, plan and execute the day-to-day operational strategy.
Overall responsibility to ensure Outbound team leaders are utilising and developing robust teams to ensure consistent long-term growth is achieved.
To develop all colleagues through training and appropriate interventions such as probationary reviews, appraisals, development plans, along with frequent and candid conversations in order to drive high performing individuals and teams.
Hiring new general operators when required to meet business needs.
Continuous monitoring and evaluation of available data to ensure optimal warehouse operations, layout and stock integrity is being achieved.
Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness of process. To ensure housekeeping standards, and safe systems of work are met and maintained in line with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and local standards and act in line with Company Health & Safety Policy.
Create an inclusive, engaged and collaborative culture where the role of each team member in the contribution to the organisational goals is understood.
Develop and maintain a collaborative and effective communication system and style with the corresponding Inbound team

REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years’ experience in a relevant management role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive operation
Experience within FMCG industry is advantageous
Flexibility in working hours and days
Confident and consistent communicator who has an ability to flex their style to ensure the message is understood
Ability to interpret data and effectively apply outcome to the needs of the business
Highly analytical and comfortable with technology
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
Extremely organised and comfortable operating in a highly dynamic & fast paced environment
Ability to delegate in line with setting the expectation, assigning responsibility and ensuring responsibility is taken by their team
Is collaborative and confident to constructively challenge for the right result with an ability to influence peers & senior managers.
