KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Logistics or Supply Chain qualification advantageous
• Previous management and team development experience with the ability to manage and motivate others
• Demonstrable experience of the end-to-end supply chain, with particular emphasis on system focused control of stock
• Extensive knowledge of MRP systems
• Demonstrable experience from a manufacturing environment where there are multiple internal/external customers to service
• Extensive knowledge of material kitting
• Experience of a project environment would be beneficial but not essential

• Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse management systems

• Resilient, influential with a can do/will do attitude
• Forklift Truck license is advantageous

• Lead and manage the Warehouse team including developing and coaching your team
• Organise your team’s workload and report on progress and risks along with mitigation plans
• Deliver to our strategic plan, to ensure the department is operating at the most efficient level in line with business needs
• Create, modify and improve processes and procedures within your department in relation to material control
• Meet existing KPI’s. Monitor and create reaction plans to ensure the department is performing to the business needs
• Monitor stock inventory levels and accuracy
• Plan future capacity requirements
• Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled.
• Champion all things Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People within the team
• Conduct regular communications with the head of department when required and escalate any concerns as they arise with resolution plans when needed
• Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met in full
• Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change
• Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements
• Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems
• Ensure any hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements
• Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
• Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
