Description:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Logistics or Supply Chain qualification advantageous
- Previous management and team development experience with the ability to manage and motivate others
- Demonstrable experience of the end-to-end supply chain, with particular emphasis on system focused control of stock
- Extensive knowledge of MRP systems
- Demonstrable experience from a manufacturing environment where there are multiple internal/external customers to service
- Extensive knowledge of material kitting
- Experience of a project environment would be beneficial but not essential

- Excellent and proven people management skills, supporting at all levels with the ability to lead, manage and motivate a skilled team to meet objectives and agreed targets
- Analytical and logical problem solving, ability to make decisions

- Forklift Truck license is advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Warehouse team including developing and coaching your team
- Organise your team’s workload and report on progress and risks along with mitigation plans
- Deliver to our strategic plan, to ensure the department is operating at the most efficient level in line with business needs
- Create, modify and improve processes and procedures within your department in relation to material control
- Meet existing KPI’s. Monitor and create reaction plans to ensure the department is performing to the business needs
- Monitor stock inventory levels and accuracy
- Plan future capacity requirements
- Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled.
- Champion all things Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People within the team
- Conduct regular communications with the head of department when required and escalate any concerns as they arise with resolution plans when needed
- Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met in full
- Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change
- Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements
- Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems
- Ensure any hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
