Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar supervisory role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory tracking software.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Forklift operator certification preferred.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout our restaurant chain and catering services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or other inventory tracking software.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Manage stock levels to minimize stockouts while optimizing inventory costs.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding ordering, storage, and distribution
  • Warehouse Operations:
  • Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient warehouse environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize space utilization and minimize handling time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment.
  • Logistics & Distribution:
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to restaurants and event locations.
  • Manage the flow of goods between the warehouse and restaurants, including deliveries and returns.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delivery issues.
  • Catering Support:
  • Collaborate with the catering department to plan and execute the logistics for all catering events.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all catering orders to event locations.
  • Manage inventory levels to support the demands of the catering business.
  • Work closely with the catering team to address any logistical challenges.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to minimize damage and spoilage.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Cost Control:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures in warehouse operations.
  • Negotiate favorable rates with transportation providers.
  • Minimize waste and spoilage to reduce inventory costs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Identify and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and industry best practices.
