Position Overview:
MPC has an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager in Anacortes, Washington! This role supports and leads warehouse operations for the Anacortes Refinery and reports to the Supply Chain Director. The Warehouse Manager is a leader who is responsible for developing warehousing strategies, coordinating all warehouse activities and handling inventory related actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight in the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics, and quality control/assurance.
- Lead, develop, and establish warehouse strategies and organizational goals; develop/track key performance indicators (KPI); utilize root cause analysis to improve performance. Develop short and long-term plans to increase the efficiency and optimization of warehousing functions and inventory; engage workforce in pursuing continuous improvement efforts; strive to achieve best in class status.
- Coordinate contract employees responsible for the handling and processing materials and supplies, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met where sites require.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Operations Materials Management group for material master creations/updates/deletions, daily Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
- Provide guidance on local material management activities including cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
- Maintain high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; lead and participate in activities supporting HES&S commitments.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements related to warehousing and inventory control.
- Optimize and maintain facilities (warehouses, laydown yards, chemical/catalyst storage, turnaround (TAR), temporary storage areas, offsite storage sites); ensure stationery and mobile equipment are maintained and replaced as necessary.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Director in developing warehouse budget and maintaining financial discipline to meet the budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in use of ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office Products
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Five (5) or more years’ experience in Inventory Management, Materials Management, warehousing, or other Supply Chain discipline.
- Physical requirements: be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Level 3 (P3)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 or more years’ experience in Inventory Management, Materials Management, warehousing, or other related Supply Chain discipline.
