As a Warehouse Manager, you will lead and oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in the storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards while fostering a positive, safety focussed work environment for your team.

Responsibilities:

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, ALTHOUGH ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Coordinate and oversee all warehouse operations ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice.
  • Have a working knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of the responsible person in relation to your job role.
  • Ensuring the inventory is tightly controlled by tracking and accounting for all incoming and outgoing products and identifying stock discrepancies.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, by hand or using a forklift truck.
  • Perform the ‘goods-in’ procedure upon receipt of medical goods to assure product quality.
  • Store Products in their allocated locations according to their labelled storage conditions and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) principles.
  • Authorising the disposal of expired goods from inventory by signing the Medicine Disposal Record.
  • Place faulty or returned goods into the quarantine area and complete the quarantine logbook.
  • Performing an initial assessment in the event of an alert, alarm or temperature excursion and notifying the RP or QA.
  • Conducting monthly warehouse inspections and expiry date checks.
  • Performing temperature mapping or overseeing mapping performed by third parties.
  • Ensuring only calibrated data loggers are used for temperature validation.
  • Follow the company’s health and hygiene procedure.
  • Maintain a high level of security in the warehouse during working hours.
  • Arranging repairs or maintenance to be completed either in-house or by a specialist contractor and arranging for replacement items, if required.
  • Ensure contractors are supervised whilst working on site.
  • Maintaining records for the repair and maintenance of premises and equipment.
  • Perform ‘goods-out’ procedures in response to customer orders ensuring that all required product checks are performed, products are packed safely, correctly labelled and the correct documentation in enclosed.
  • Accept and process customer returns, showing due diligence to the risk of falsified medicines, and place the returned goods into the customer returns area in quarantine upon receipt into the warehouse.
  • Documenting the operational activities for supplier returns.
  • Immediately reporting a product recall or potential recall situation to QA or the RP.
  • Record any customer complaints received and forward the information to the Quality Assurance Department for investigation.
  • Inform the responsible person of any reports of adverse drug reactions.
  • Ensure any proposed changed to GDP systems have been approved via the change control procedure before any changes are made.
  • Identify any deviations from approved procedures, inform QA and complete within the specified timeframe.
  • Complete any CAPA assigned to you within the specified timeframe.
  • Completing and correcting GDP documents as per procedure to maintain data integrity.
  • Actively support the Quality Management System.
  • Responsibility for final invoicing of all customer orders and pre-shipment checks.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

  • The ability to lead and manage an operational team.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred of working in a GMP facility.
  • The ability to work methodically, quickly, accurately and safely.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Fully IT literate: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and inventory management systems (Exact Online is an asset).
  • Experience with stock management and software (desirable).
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, post-secondary preferred
