Description:

  • Manages Warehouse Department
  • Manages warehouse personnel to ensure customer service issues, daily routines, transactions and sales order
  • Implements cost reduction principles in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
  • Organize all activities and assigns jobs accordingly for staff
  • Sources and oversees logistics providers
  • Reviews and negotiates carrier rates on an annual basis
  • Oversees warehouse facility expansion projects, including RFP distribution and vendor selection
  • Approves Emergency Orders in conjunction with Customer Service Manager
  • Purchases warehouse supplies and equipment, re-pricing sources on an annual basis
  • Oversees maintenance of warehouse equipment, including sourcing appropriate vendors
  • Assists in the Warehouse if needed.
  • Oversees Uniform Program for warehouse team.
  • Travels to company acquisition sites for shutdowns, inventory, and moves.
  • Maintains all certifications required for position.
  • Performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant matters including hiring, firing, coaching, pay changes, recruiting, and investigations.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
  • Signs off on Team Members’ time sheets by noon on the Monday of each payweek.
  • Completes Team Members’ evaluations timely.
  • Provides excellent customer service.
  • Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
  • Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
  • Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
  • Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
  • Performs all other duties as required.
    The duties described above are not inclusive. Additional duties may be permanently assigned or required from time to time due to the need to respond to customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.

  • BS in Supply Chain Logistics or equivalent.
  • 7 years experience in warehouse management (or 10 if no degree).
  • 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Current forklift certification.
  • Current certifications in OSHA, Hazardous Waste Disposal, IATA, and Hazardous Waste First Responder.
  • Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Skilled in use of computer, Internet, and shipping company websites.
  • Ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Fluently speak, read, and write English.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, standing and walking for extended periods of time on a concrete floor, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
  • Position spends approximately 75% of time sitting at a desk and 25% standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
  • Must work from the McKinney office and be able to work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to computers and general office equipment for a portion of each day. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reminder of the day is spent in the warehouse facility where the noise level is high.

Salary is: $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience. Eligible for Bonus program

EDUCATION
