Description:

WAREHOUSE MANAGER – JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Regional Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff management, site maintenance, and health & safety in the warehouse. This role ensures the effective delivery of warehousing services, inventory management, staff planning, and fostering a safe working environment. The manager will also liaise with customers and support transport KPIs to meet deadlines, maintain stock, and ensure site security.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in warehouse operations.
  • FLT License (preferred).
  • Knowledge of warehouse/stock management systems.
  • Proven leadership and experience in managing a team.
  • Strong communication and PC skills.
  • Flexible, team-oriented approach.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and organise warehouse staff to meet efficiency and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Develop systems for product handling, storage, inventory, and shipping.
  • Train and manage the team to address operational issues and achieve performance targets.
  • Oversee daily operations, including inventory, logistics, and productivity.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing standards and complying with regulations.
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet quality, productivity, and customer service standards.

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise warehouse activities, including inventory control, shipping, and customer service.
  • Manage scheduling to meet FSL demands and minimise overtime.
  • Inspect equipment, oversee maintenance, and manage employee HR tasks (holidays, sickness, recruitment, etc.).
  • Ensure staff are trained and performance reviews are conducted.
  • Manage Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and accident reporting.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to improve productivity and prevent losses.
  • Oversee dispatch of goods, ensuring KPI and SLA targets are met.
