Operational Management
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including workflow planning and supervision
Ensure proper sorting, labelling, and storage of all received items
Manage inventory accurately and conduct regular stock counts
Implement and maintain health and safety standards
Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure compliance with company requirements
Manage staff recruitment, training, and discipline
Financial Management
Control labour costs and manage staffing levels according to workload
Oversee equipment maintenance and associated costs
Manage administrative expenses (e.g., telephone, stationery)
Review and approve invoices and financial statements
Prepare warehouse forecasts and budgets
Client Relationship Management
Maintain effective communication with internal and external clients
Conduct cost evaluations and feasibility studies for clients
Ensure timely processing of instructions to maximize customer satisfaction
Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders
Quality and Risk Management
Implement and monitor operational quality standards
Identify and mitigate potential risks in warehouse operations
Ensure proper documentation and authorization processes
Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions as needed
Performance Analysis and Improvement
Analyze operational data and provide insights for improvement
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse processes
Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics/warehousing, with at least 5 years in warehouse management
Matric/Grade 12 education
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (Cargowise preferred)
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations in warehousing
Strong financial acumen for budget management
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Rsults-driven with a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy
Adaptable and able to work under pressure
Demonstrated integrity and professional ethics
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Between 7 - 10 Year
