About us
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Operative, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our warehouse. This position involves handling goods, managing stock, and accurately fulfilling orders in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Receiving and Processing Goods
Unload deliveries, checking them against purchase orders or invoices for accuracy.
Sort, organise, and store items in designated locations.
Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
Picking and Packing
Accurately pick products according to order specifications for dispatch.
Pack goods securely to prevent damage during transit.
Label packages and complete all relevant paperwork.
Stock Management
Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies or low stock levels to the Team Leader.
Replenish inventory in picking areas as required.
Maintain organisation and tidiness in the warehouse.
Dispatching Orders
Assist with loading goods onto delivery vehicles.
Ensure outgoing deliveries are accurate and properly documented.
Coordinate with drivers and other departments for timely dispatch.
Health & Safety
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and lifting aids.
Report health and safety hazards to the team leader immediately.
General Warehouse Duties
Keep the warehouse clean and organised, including sweeping and waste disposal.
Participate in regular stock takes and inventory audits.
Support team members and assist with additional tasks as needed.
About you
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping and understanding instructions.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Adaptability and initiative.
