Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Generalist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the warehouse, including order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. A valid forklift license is preferred for this role, as operating forklifts may be required for certain duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner.
- Capable of navigating around computer systems
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.
- Assist in inventory control, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure that all goods are stored in an organized, safe, and accessible manner.
- Prepare and label shipping documents, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular warehouse inspections and assist with routine maintenance tasks.
- Assist with unloading and loading trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Cleaning, organizing and general upkeep of the warehouse facility
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including keeping workstations and common areas organized.
- Physically mobile
- Assist with any other duties as needed to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Valid forklift license (preferred).
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items (up to 15kg or more).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (experience with warehouse management systems is a plus).
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
Work Environment:
- This position may involve working in various warehouse environments, including exposure to noise, temperature changes, and heavy equipment.
- Safety gear (such as steel-toe boots, gloves, and reflective vests) is required.
