Description:

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

Location: Wimbledon
Salary: £26,416
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 6-day shift pattern (Includes weekend work)
A flexible approach to hours will be required as there may be occasion when it is necessary to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and engagement activities

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE BELOW SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALITIES:

  • Previous Warehouse experience is desirable.
  • Previous production/picking line experience would be an advantage.
  • The ability to work methodically and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to load and unload goods (manual handling).

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work effectively and efficiently with fellow colleagues and management to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Packing of all Fresh produce and chilled products into containers/Boxes, ensuring they are securely sealed and labelled for distribution. Including expiration dates and batch numbers.
  • Accurately weigh and measure products as required, ensuring that packaging is consistent and meets company standards
  • Inspect products for quality and freshness before packing, reporting any that do meet company standards
  • Follow strict hygiene and food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure a clean working environment
  • Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and effectively, reporting any issues to management
  • Communicate any issues with products, equipment, or processes to management
  • Assist with inventory tracking by keeping records of packed products and reporting any discrepancies or product shortages
  • Be responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
  • Perform other Operative duties as required.
