PAY RATE: $40.59/hour. Pay progression, 70% first year ($28.41) and then an additional 5% per 2,080 additional worked hours.
WORK LOCATION: 110 Arnaud St, Amherstburg ON, N9V 2N8
SCHEDULE: Schedule presently Monday through Friday with the possibility of Saturday and Sunday shifts. by-weekly rotation of Midnights, Afternoons, Days - 11pm to 7am - 7am-3:00pm - 3pm-11pm.
About You
You are passionate about manufacturing and your experience is based on being observant, innovative, dependable and reliable.
You understand that safety and approved operating standards are paramount. When needed you act quickly and with a minimum supervision to keep a safe work environment.
As a Warehouse Operator you will carry tasks such as changing of FL batteries, daily forklift inspections, warehouse clean-up, participate in MSS (Master Sanitation System) and cycle count inventory to name a few.

When operating the Palletizer / Handline Team member will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the Palletizers, Wrappers and Markem machines. Other duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Required to supply slip sheets, pallet wrap, Markem Labels and Ribbon to the Palletizers/wrappers located in warehouse.
  • Fall arrest training is required.
  • Cleaning of case of pallet jams in the machines and related to conveyors.
  • Input and close work orders in Markem and SAP.
  • Always be alert and attentive to keep conveyors and Palletizers continually operating. Report any deficiencies or Maintenance required to TL.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, MSS and Warehouse clean-up as required.
  • All cases at the handline tagged accurately by 8 am. Report any labels found without being dedicated to cases or pallets to Inventory Control/TL.
  • 100% glass clean up at Palletizers and Sorting conveyors at the end of each shift.
  • CIL activities on the Palletizers as scheduled, record downtime, palletizer check sheet, guard log and tunnel.
  • Forklift Operation – emptying all corrugate and garbage for the Warehouse.
  • Emptying the Yard Glass Bins as required.
  • Daily Reclaim activities as required. Management of reclaim control inventory sheets daily as required. Following slush tote control and sample process. Bringing of reclaim cases to Bottling as required.
  • Operation of CB Warehouse Floor sweeper.

When operating the Fork Truck, the driver will be required to operate a Fork Truck in the Case Bond Warehouses and ensure the maintenance of the flow of case goods to meet shipping schedules. Duties include the following but not limited to:

  • 100% verification each individual load against shipping documents.
  • Supporting Line Operations and Warehouse Loading activities as required.
  • Daily compliance to pre-vehicle inspection process.
  • Manage and repair all warehouse or in transit damage as the damage occurs, re-work your own pallets when damaged.
  • 100% Validation of all loading picks to Diageo standards and loading specifications
  • Training and 100% Compliance to the Highjump Warehouse Management System.
  • Training and 100% Compliance to the Markem Auto Tagging Process for Retrieving Stock from Palletizers and or any movement within the warehouse needs to be physically scanned.
  • Make rows and space within warehouse as needed.
  • Set-up of mixed pallets, managing tiered loads.
  • Work under the direction of WCL/TL but able to work independently to maintain the flow of case goods in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Driver must successfully pass required fork truck training – includes classroom and practical training. Recertification of license every three years.
  • Engage all dock safety features as in the following: the ramp and locking trailers prior to entering. Opening and closing dock doors as required.
  • Comply with all site PMHV safety rules and regulations (Powered Material Handling Vehicle).
  • Comply with all sites loading patterns and loading requirements.
  • Warehouse Clean-up and MSS as required.
  • Perform cycle count as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
