We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a sit down counter balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
  • Must be comfortable working outside in the elements
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials
  • Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.
  • Load/unload trucks
  • Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors
  • Assist with inventory counts as required
  • Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license
  • Must be able to read a pick list
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends
  • Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical
  • 2 years forklift experience
  • Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
