Description:

As one of the UK’s leading suppliers of nationwide 2 and 1-person Assisted ‘White Glove’ Home Delivery Services, we are always on the lookout for fantastic people to join our expanding teams.
Due to continued growth we are expanding our team and are now seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our us.
We strive to deliver an outstanding service to our customers and your role as the Shift Manager in key to this. You will be responsible for the Warehouse function, managing a team of warehouse operatives, making sure that they are engaged, organized and motivated, while they load/unload vehicles, process freight and route sort before assisting with load out in line with business targets.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • You will have experience in a fast-paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience, involving direct accountability and responsibility for motivating and leading a team of both agency and core staff
  • You will have strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a mixed ability team
  • Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
  • The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.
  • You will be proactive rather than reactive to prevent issues from arising
  • Confidence in getting involved in HR activity, including incident investigations, disciplinaries and performance management
  • Must be IT literate
  • FLT license is desirable
