WAREHOUSE SHIFT MANAGER – NIGHT SHIFT

Circa £50,000 (plus 25% Shift Allowance) plus excellent benefits (Work Level 5)
Newhouse, ML1 5GH - Night Shift (10pm to 6am), 5 days over 7, every other weekend
We’re looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join us at our Newhouse depot to look after all aspects of the warehouse operation during each night shift (10pm to 6am).
This is a key leadership role, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff on your shift. You’ll lead, develop, and engage a multi-skilled team of depot colleagues as well as drive health and safety within the depot and be responsible for controlling costs and delivering our colleague engagement programmes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the night shift
• Lead, engage, coach and develop a large team of warehouse colleagues and team managers
• Be responsible for maintaining the health and safety of your colleagues
• Make sure that key operational metrics, targets and budgets set for the shift are met, with an emphasis on performance management
• Build positive relationships with a range of internal and external partners, including 3rd party agencies, suppliers, and trade unions

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO HAVE

• Experience managing a large team within a complex and a passion for supporting and developing others
• A familiarity with Manhattan and SAP warehouse management systems would be preferred, but isn’t essential
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate the workloads of yourself and your team
• Excellent leadership, communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
