Description:
The Warehouse Shipper/Receiver at Macdonald’s is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, picking and dispatching of goods. They are responsible for the overall productivity of the warehouse, ensuring that processes are prompt and efficient.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain secure records of ingoing and outgoing inventory.
- Pack and unpack materials.
- Ensure quality control of goods by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Schedule shipments efficiently.
- Prepare and/or sign off on shipping documents.
- Report any damaged stock or equipment to the Warehouse Operations Team Lead.
- Ensure safe disposal of leftover packing materials or hazardous waste.
- Manage the warehouse strategically in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations..
- Ensure efficient space utilization.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Manage inventory control and reconcile with our inventory system (System 5)
- Perform regular inventory counts
- Liaise with suppliers and transport companies
- Liaise with Service Technicians, Installers and Sales Team members
- Produce regular reports as required by the Regional Service Lead (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.)
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of stock
- Contribute to staff training as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge, computer software and internet proficiency
- Experience working with inventory operating system
- Healthcare experience is an asset
- Ability to work at height
- Ability to work independently without much supervision
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Supply Chain Management Certification is an asset
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
