Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for leading the daily activities of a busy Warehouse team. This is a key role in our Operations team, finding better, smarter, more cost-efficient ways to get things done and must be able to create momentum and excitement to implement change.
We are looking for an experienced person who will act as the Operations Manager’s right-hand and back-up. Somebody who will have proven ability to drive change, operate in a fast-paced challenging environment, adapt and react quickly, and inspire others to do the same.
You should be a proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter, able to identify areas for improvement and implement them in a timely manner. Previous LEAN experience is an asset.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Warehouse teams by planning and executing workload based on various schedules.
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to while promoting a positive Safety culture.
  • Lead a culture of on-going process improvement using KAIZEN and LEAN methodology.
  • Ensure all inbound materials are received and accurately recorded in ERP (SysPro)
  • Ensure all finished goods are shipped in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Actively manage employees to achieve high levels of quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Ensure the work area is clean, organized and free of hazards before, during and after each shift (5S).
  • Handle employee concerns and issues, including filling out incident reports or other relevant documentation and submitting to JHSC and/or Human Resources.
  • Manage employee time and attendance, and updates hours appropriately (PayWorks)
  • Support staff planning requirements on a daily and weekly basis in order to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
  • Hiring, onboarding and training of new employees
