Description:
A full-time/permanent position as a Warehouse Supervisor is available at our Hamilton, Ontario location. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for leading, supervising, coaching and coordinating our warehouse personnel and contractors and establish a safe and efficient team, maximizing equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in continuous process, chemical, or carbon-black manufacturing plant is an asset.
- Experience with SAP is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule work assignments and to complete the work safely.
- Self-motivated and strong customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Practical computer skills: (MS Office, MS Project, SAP, etc.)

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, technical support and coaching to warehouse personnel and peers to meet the needs of our customers.
- Oversite of transport truck shipments to the US and Canada with all related legislated paperwork
- Oversite of the loading and transfer of rail cars – experience with CN / CP rail is a definite asset
- Works closely with the production department to transfer, pack and ship Carbon Black in sacks, tanker trucks or rail cars
- Develop and maintain positive employee relations and a collaborative work environment.
- Develop and maintain excellent employee awareness, morale, customer satisfaction, and commitment through goal-focused employee training, supervision, daily communication, recognition, performance management, coaching, counseling, personal involvement and on-going employee feedback.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel to plan and schedule product for shipment to our customers
- Utilize the SAP program for customer deliveries, shipping, equipment maintenance and internal reporting
- Write and approve work permits for any work taking place in the Warehouse area
- Perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems to observe operating conditions and need for repair or adjustment,
- Supervise repairs/projects to ensure quality of work and adherence to deadlines,
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations with respect to the Health and Safety of employees and shipping contractors.
- Maintain all required records and reports consistent with our commitment to ISO9000 and any other relevant standards.
- Foster and promote with all employees an environment of continuous improvement; in particular, by identifying and recommending improvements to improve the overall efficiency of department.
- Manage and control supplies and inventory in the warehouse to meet our employee and customer needs
- Perform all of the above-cited duties consistent with a hands-on perspective and a visible presence in our warehouse areas.
