QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3rd Level Degree in Supply Chain, Business Engineering or similar 3+ years experience in a manufacturing/engineering/analytics/systems/cloud computing environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing people and teams
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • SAP experience preferred but not essential

Responsibilities:

WHAT TYPE OF WORK WILL YOU BE DOING? WHAT ASSIGNMENTS, REQUIREMENTS, OR SKILLS WILL YOU BE PERFORMING ON A REGULAR BASIS?

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and executing warehouse activities including but not limited to the receiving, picking, detrash and material handling in the ADC Kilkenny warehouse. The Supervisor will ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with Abbott EHS, Quality and Regulatory policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the safe operation of the warehouse and implement a culture of safety across all warehouse activities
  • Prioritise and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively, and that work targets and schedules are met
  • Train new hires to all relevant SOP’s WSI’s and OTJ’s in accordance with the company training policies and procedures
  • Perform scheduled safety checks on all equipment to ensure it is fit for use and report any unsafe issues to Warehouse Lead and EHS rep.
  • Schedule all activities for material movements from warehouse to PSA’s (Production Staging Areas).
  • Ability to manage people and resolve any issues in a supportive and professional manner.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to support cost savings and improve efficiencies across all activities.

This role reports Paul Dunne, our Warehouse Lead. You will join Paul’s growing team team of 12.
