Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Warehouse Supervisor at our 591 Arvin Ave. Stoney Creek facility.

Job Summary & Reporting Structure:

  • Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will lead shipping and receiving personnel, warehousing functions and will also play a key role in managing the company’s inventory. Working closely with production and materials, the Warehouse Supervisor will ensure all functions are carried out to meet the established quality, production and safety standards. They will be responsible for accurate and timely shipments to and from Customers and Suppliers and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality System and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all products are accurately received and shipped using QAD
  • Lead, Train, and Supervise shipping and receiving employees (Two Shifts)
  • Coordinate movement of product on company shunt trucks
  • Track and coordinate transportation of materials to and from vendors
  • Pull requirements from QAD for shippers to ship items. (Train shippers to pull themselves)
  • Ensure cross-border paperwork for international shipments available at time of shipment.
  • Process courier and paperwork for incoming shipments into QAD in a timely and accurate manner.
  • File and organize all shipping/ receiving documentation.
  • Confirm daily lift truck are completed in EASE software.
  • Lead and participate in daily, quarterly and annual inventory, review inventory inaccuracies.
  • Perform electronic communications (ASN, stock transfers) between Tiercon/AGS facilities.
  • Investigate with several departments and provide solutions on issues involving shipping, receiving, storage of supplies, raw materials, work in process and finished goods
  • Maintain finished goods, warehouse, shipping and receiving areas, and exterior of building in a neat and organized fashion
  • Continuous improvement through recommendations on processes and procedures.
  • Operate a lift truck in a safe manner.
  • Assist with GMCCA planning (Order trucks, provide production with proper plant destinations for labels)
  • Manage performance and issue discipline to employees as needed.
  • Complete performance reviews for temporary employee conversions.
  • Complete weekly time and attendance for employees, ensuring accurate hours worked for payroll processing.
  • Administer shipping and receiving individual training to the department as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 duties as required

Qualifications:

  • College or Technical Diploma in a related field an asset
  • Warehouse experience in an automotive setting an asset.
  • Supervisory experience in a high volume, fast paced, distribution operation.
  • 5 years’ experience operating lift truck, current lift truck license
