QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a cold store distribution center environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with an emphasis on fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Experience with SAP and voice technology for picking and replenishment tasks (preferred).
  • Proficiency in data analytics and dashboard development.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safety-first culture and promoting co-determination in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety first mindset, driving the safety agenda on site. Assist in addressing health and safety challenges, including manual handling and man versus machine risks, through sustainable solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in securely storing products at our 3PL site and own storage location, in addition to supporting in the 3PL relationship
  • Collaborate closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure alignment of operational goals and effective cross-functional communication.
  • Assist in overseeing daily order picking, packing, and dispatch to meet tight schedules.
  • Driving and improving customer service by identifying trends, highlighting and resolving issues + improving our reporting
  • Support in managing picking team performance to optimize cost base and customer service levels, focusing on promoting employee engagement and well-being in alignment with ESG goals.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Operations Manager in developing and maintaining operations dashboard for clear tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), combining both leading and lagging metrics and targets.
  • Support in workforce planning, including succession planning and skills agility initiatives, focusing on developing talent that embraces sustainability ethos and business resilience credentials.
  • Aid in preparing for a transition to the next generation of operating processes, maintaining knowledge of operational best practices and engaging in in-depth planning for transition.
  • Act as a delegate for the Warehouse Operations Manager during planned and unplanned absences, providing both breadth and depth of support as needed.DATA ANALYTICS FOCUS:
  • Drive a data strategy that enables the Warehouse Operations Manager to be effective through intelligent use of data, including but not limited to performance metrics, trend analysis, and forecasting.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost reduction, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.MANAGEMENT OF 3PL RELATIONSHIP (LINEAGE):
  • Assist in comprehensively understanding the commercial relationship with our key 3PL partner, ensuring adherence to contractual boundaries and holding them accountable for their performance both operationally and as a landlord.
  • Support in fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship with Lineage through regular communication, performance reviews, and joint problem-solving.
  • Contribute to establishing clear expectations and KPIs for Lineage’s performance.
  • Assist in implementing best practices for optimizing 3PL operations, such as shared technology platforms, transparent data sharing, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies, and sustainability improvements within the 3PL partnership.
