Description:

Lineage Logistics are the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.
In our Peterborough facility we store food for major companies in the local area.
To support increasing customer demand, we are currently seeking Warehouse Team Leader to supervise the operations and responsibilities of the warehouse & stock team, as well as working with leadership to make sure our company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.
Shift Patterns available: 4 on 4 off Nights 18:00 to 06:00 (40.25h per week) OR Wednesday - Saturday 18:00-04:30 (40h per week) with 30 minutes unpaid break.
Rate: £14.47 per hour paid weekly plus a £34.40 per week shift allowance for Wednesday to Saturday & £53 per week shift allowance for 4 on 4 off nights. Th allowance depends on shift and can be discuss at screening and interview.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Manage operational procedures to include the incoming and outgoing shipments, handle the organisation of stock and maintain warehouse inventory
  • Plan Daily Diary schedules and resource allocation for completion of job assignments while keeping time and motion records
  • Morning Team briefs to communicate to staff the allocation of work, Diary Schedule, H&S info and any daily topics.
  • Daily Checks of WMS to check for discrepancies and/or missing stock.
  • Ensure Housekeeping and the Checklists are updated daily
  • Ensure effective communications to staff from office to bay.
  • Ensure accidents are investigated according to the company’s accident investigation procedures
  • Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation
  • Staff appraisals twice yearly.
  • Align with present Team Leader in all Warehouse and Office Functions.
  • Role will be a hands on role involved in the daily warehouse processes.
