Description:

We currently have an exciting role for a Warehouse Team Leader providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics team at our Castle Donington site. The role will be as part of our night team working a 4on, 4off shift pattern and offers excellent rates of pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, installing operational responsibilities, follow process and site disciplines
  • Create a professional and structured team
  • Organise and manage workloads between Warehouse Operatives
  • MHE Pre-Start checks completed and checked
  • MHE Defect reporting
  • Identify, report, and resolve all Health & Safety issues through Near Miss reports
  • Complete required daily Inspections
  • Ensure all system queries & issues are resolved effectively
  • Maintaining system in accordance with requirements
  • Liaising with Warehouse Shift Manager to ensure adequate positions and labour resource cover is always in place including peak periods and holiday cover
  • Liaising with Warehouse Shift Manager for required resource
  • Ensure relevant training, coaching and empowerment for all roles including ‘Upskilling’ cover for Team Leader & other roles
  • Identify and report all absence to Warehouse Shift Manager
  • Complete all required duties and responsibilities within the warehouse operation in the correct timescales
  • Assisting with stock takes and reporting packs
  • Quality checks on Inbounds, picking and loading
  • Allocation of breaks and split breaks for colleagues
  • Identify non-conformance’s, complete forms, and report to management

Health & Safety:

  • To ensure you follow safe working practices.
  • To promptly report all accidents and incidents to your line manager.
  • To assist in accident investigations, as necessary.
  • To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • To adhere to relevant site rules, QEHS policies and procedures including quality procedures, HACCP, safe systems of work and environmental controls.

Communication:

  • To have excellent communication skills and ability to consult verbally confidently with employees and Management.
  • To listen carefully to instructions.
  • To keep your manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines.

Flexibility and Ad-Hoc:

  • To be flexible to work on a variety of duties and locations as required.
  • To conduct any other task that is reasonable and within your skill set as business needs dictate.
