Job Description

Reporting into DC Supervisor and/or the DC Team Leader, the DC Team Member is responsible for daily DC operations including picking, unloading, loading and counting products with a continual focus on Safety, Service, Cost and Team.

  • Transfer stock to designated storage areas as per company procedures.
  • Pick stock to picking lanes in line with company procedure.
  • Conduct cycle counts.
  • Perform any other suitable duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers in other areas of the business, including but not limited to cleaning, receiving, returns, dispatch, and administration.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to develop better and safer procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Embrace teamwork to achieve common goals.
  • Continuously improve processes to achieve optimal efficiency.
  • Maintain DC Housekeeping.
  • Report all incidents/injuries, near misses, and hazards to the DC Manager in a timely manner.
  • Handle products safely in accordance with safety and handling induction/training.
  • Comply with all WH&S policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all individuals on-site follow relevant Safe Working Practices (SWPs) as per National Safety Plan.
  • Implement appropriate training and processes to minimize incidents/injuries.
  • Receive and process stock into the warehouse according to company procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • LF & LO license required.
  • Warehouse experience is required.
  • Preferred experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items, although not essential.
  • Strong safety focus with knowledge and experience in safe manual handling.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in multitasking and has experience in it.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possesses a proactive and can-do attitude.
