Description:

SUMMARY:

Assists with the Shipping and Receiving processes of materials from outside suppliers and other Forum plants. Stocks received material, as well as completed products. Picks inventory and delivers it to shipping. Assists with cycle counts. Fills orders including picking, packing, verifying and packaging. Reach Truck operation as required. May perform repetitive tasks following established company procedures, work under direct supervision, with decisions reviewed/made with senior personnel. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Prior experience in a Warehouse or similar environment
  • Knowledge of ERP systems an asset
  • Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Email, Typing)
  • Able to change tasks or direction while maintaining organization.
  • Forklift/Reach Truck Certification with prior experience preferred
  • Ability to lift to 40lbs
  • Valve knowledge an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3+ year(s) related experience in a Warehouse environment
  • 2+ years prior Reach Truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing always required personal safety equipment
  • Parts pick / Verification for all customer orders
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
  • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
  • Routes items to departments
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
  • May perform data entry of relevant shipping information into ERP system
  • Operates reach truck and/or forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
  • May receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment
  • Assist with cycle counting process as required
  • General housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Performs other duties and activities as directed.
