Warranty Parts Lead, Reporting to Shop Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Warranty Parts Lead at Joseph Haulage will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of quality in the maintenance shop. This role requires overseeing inventory management, directing parts staff, and ensuring warranty parts are tracked and returned. The lead will also work with OEMs and vendors to ensure parts are effectively managed, and warranties are processed accurately.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role, managing parts staff or teams.
- At least 3 years of verifiable experience in maintenance and/or parts administration, ideally within the trucking industry.
- Experience with tractor trailer parts and services, with knowledge of Cummins and PACCAR products being highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in computer skills (Excel, TMT, MIR RT) for managing inventory and record-keeping.
- Previous experience in trucking inventory control is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license.
- Additional Skills: Familiarity with safety protocols in an inventory and parts management environment.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, some Saturdays. 7 am to 4 pm
Salary: $63,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Work Order Management: Ensure all parts on work orders are entered and processed accurately, ensuring proper tracking and organization.
- Vendor Invoice Management: Track and verify charges from vendor invoices to ensure they are accurate and align with agreed terms.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of parts used by technicians for repairs and preventive maintenance services, ensuring optimal stock levels and reducing excess inventory.
- Technology & Product Knowledge: Stay current with new technology and products related to the maintenance and repair of tractor trailers and associated parts.
- Vendor & Pricing Oversight: Monitor and analyze parts costs, ensuring vendors provide competitive pricing and high-quality service.
- Parts Shipping: Prepare and ship parts to outlying facilities as needed.
- Inventory Control: Conduct daily cycle counts of maintenance parts, adjusting stock levels as needed.
- Issue Reporting: Advise management on issues related to parts, inventory, or other concerns, ensuring problems are identified and addressed promptly.
- Computer Skills: Utilize computer systems (Excel, TMT, MIR RT) for inventory tracking, recordkeeping, and parts information management.
- Warranty Management: Work with vendors to track and return parts covered under warranty, ensuring compliance with warranty agreements.
- Security & Quality Control: Ensure the security of parts inventory and analyze parts quality to maintain high standards.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
