Responsibilities:

JOB OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully develop relationships with one of our major clients, managing a team of waste operatives on shifts and building a strong working relationship with other team members working on the contracts including the management/organisation of contractors pivotal to the overall contact.

MAIN DUTIES

  • MUST have a driving license as will need to cover off-site DOC audits and supplier visits
  • MUST have previous experience in supervisory role / managing people in a busy environment
  • MUST be flexible in working arrangements and patterns to cover various staffing levels across the contract and may be required to stay overnight if required, in advance (fully expensed)
  • MUST be able to use Microsoft office suite of documents confidently including excel and ideally have PowerBI knowledge
  • MUST have a safety driven mentality with good working knowledge of safety standards expected on a top tier COMAH site
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships with internal staff and external clients
  • Can analyse basic data and interpret simple trends in waste management data and look to source sustainable alternative disposal & recovery routes for certain waste streams in line with Account manager
  • Preparation and maintenance of commercial costings for internal staff and external clients for projects and one-off jobs
  • Liaising directly, on a daily basis, with the clients evolving and changing needs so must have a client led approach/attitude
  • Ensuring client compliance with current legislation (and client policies) and organised housekeeping of documents (hard copy and via SharePoint system)
  • Ability to audit both suppliers and clients’ sites (accompanied to begin with)
  • Counterbalance FLT license is desirable/advantageous but not essential. Willingness to work towards obtaining will be required
