Strata-G is seeking an experienced Waste Management Specialist with the following:
Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of client Waste Management (WM) programs are compliant with federal and state waste regulations. Specific attributes include waste characterization, packaging, storage, profiling, and disposition in accordance with RCRA, TSCA, NRC and DOT regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Waste streams include RCRA, low level radioactive waste, mixed waste, PCB waste, and/or sanitary waste.
- Prepare sampling and analysis plans in accordance with EPA guidance documents and SW-846.
- Interpret laboratory analytical data.
- Prepare and maintain waste disposal profiles for TSDFs.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related science, engineering, or technical field OR 8 years of equivalent experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OF JOB (BEYOND EDUCATIONAL OR EQUIVALENT REQUIREMENTS):
Three (3) to Five (5) years experience since degree. Must have a working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and radioactive waste management pertaining to the packaging and management of hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste.
