Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Join our thriving team and embark on an enriching career journey as a Waste Recycling Coordinator. Based in Port Pirie, the Waste Recycling Coordinator will be responsible for the physical management of the large site recycling program. A key function of the role is to secure compliance with EPA regulations, and in particular to ensure that Lead contaminated recyclable materials have been decontaminated before leaving site.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OF ROLE
- Deployment of labelled recycling bins in work areas across site including skips for scrap metal, blue-bootie bins, recyclable bottle bins, cardboard bins and general rubbish bins.
- Scrap metal collection, sorting, loading into central collection bins and loading onto trucks for off-site removal.
- Collection and delivery of office paper and cardboard to the Paper Mache Shed for processing and application to site stockpiles of leaded materials.

- Waste tracking of all recycled materials as required by the EPA, for sustainability reporting and for commercial diligence.
