- Act as Local ISC-NSHP representative / contact person
- Support LGs at the assignment location and conduct field visits as directed by the Field Coordinator
- Assist the Jakarta based MEL Specialist with the collection of relevant data and related monitoring activities
- Report monthly to the FC on developments, observed best practices, potential opportunities and risks and implementation constraints.
Support to selected LGs
- Assist with the planning and implementing of GEDSI responsive Social Marketing and other cross-cutting activities
- Support community engagement and the socialization, social marketing, and GEDSI related initiatives implemented by the local government
- Work closely with the Field Coordinator (FC) and the Jakarta-based Senior Sanitation Engineering, to review DEDs prepared by the LGs
- Work closely with the Field Coordinator (FC) and the Jakarta-based Sanitation Engineer, to review tender documents prepared by the local government, including terms of reference/technical specifications for construction works
- Communicating with PPK, Construction Supervision Consultants and LG administrative personnel on timely actions considered necessary in the field
- Collaborate closely with the Baselining and Verification Team and ensure involvement of the LG and other stakeholders
- Support the LGs in managing BPKP verification sampling
- Complete a regular progress report (template to be provided), and other deliverables for submission to the FC
Qualification:
- Tertiary qualifications with a major in Environmental/Water/Wastewater Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sanitation sector development, especially in domestic wastewater field
- Experience in facilitating local government activities and/or community engagement in the sanitation sector
- Experience in technical design and construction supervision of infrastructure in the sanitation sector
- Familiar with social and cross-cutting issues in sanitation development
Familiar with technical standards and output-based programs, their challenges, and opportunitiesGood verbal communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of local stakeholders, including local government, community groups representing target beneficiaries and people with special needs
