Kennedy Jenks is seeking a motivated Wastewater Process Engineer to support wastewater process projects across California and the organization. This individual will work alongside senior engineers and project teams, applying engineering techniques to develop solutions for wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering
  • Practical professional engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year. License in one or multiple states (CA, CO, FL, HI, OR, TX, VA, WA) preferred.
  • Understanding of wastewater process experience, regulations and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service and interact positively with clients
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

    The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $110,000 to $140,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.

Responsibilities:

  • Support detailed design and project management of small to large civil infrastructure projects including, but not limited to, wastewater, sanitary sewer collection systems, pump stations and wastewater treatment processes and plants.
  • Participate in design and optimization of wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems, to improve efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project leads to assist in engineering projects related to wastewater treatment, including system design, upgrades and expansions.
  • Act as assistant to project leaders where needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to provide project updates, compliance status and other relevant information
