Responsibilities:

  • Have or be working towards National Certificate in Water Treatment (Level 4) or other relevant qualification.
  • experience or knowledge in the operations of water and wastewater treatment plants, and associated facilities.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team & be on a callout roster to deliver a 24/7 service.
  • Mechanical or electrical trade aptitude is desirable.
  • Knowledge or relevant water standards, public health and local government legislation.
  • Computer literate, including advanced knowledge of programming and operation of SCADA, or similar systems.
  • Hold full driver’s licence, with appropriate endorsements, e.g. dangerous goods, heavy vehicles.
  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver a 24/7 service and meet deadlines and legislative requirements.
  • Be flexible to adjust work and manage conflicting priorities to ensure delivery of services.
  • Be skilled in interpreting and analysing technical data and have the ability to make decisions or recommendations based on this data.
  • Be able to build and maintain effective relationships, to provide quality service to colleagues and the community
