We are looking for a Water Hygiene Operative to join our Estates Team in Corsham.
Working across one large site, you will work closely alongside our in-house Estate Team completing all works relating to ACOP L8, HSG274 and Legionella management.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, in a key role responsible for water treatment and safety. You should have suitable experience working in a similar role, completing weekly / monthly monitoring and maintenance tasks, updating logbooks and completing the necessary documentation in line with current guidelines and policies.
Although we are looking for an experienced candidate, further in-house and external training will be provided, and we are keen to offer opportunities for career development and progression.

REQUIREMENTS

• Passionate about compliance and water safety, with a drive to maintain the estate in line with the requirements of ACOP L8 and HSG274.
• Prior experience in a similar position, delivering water treatment, monitoring and maintenance.
• Technically minded, with an ability to problem solve effectively.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, and self motivated when working alone.

• Weekly flushing of infrequently used outlets and temperature monitoring.
• Cold water tank inspections and working alongside 3rd Party contractors to complete remedial works.
• Weekly / monthly / quarterly planned preventive maintenance tasks in line with statutory requirements, including but not limited to planned replacement of shower heads.
• Cleaning and disinfection works as required, assisting / escorting 3rd party contractors with cold-water storage tanks.
• Identifying failure of thermostatic mixing valves and taps, assisting with repairs.
• Servicing and cleaning of strainers.
