Description:
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Class 2 Water Treatment Certificate or Class 1 Water Treatment Certificate and experience working in a Class 2 plant for a minimum of two years. Have excellent mechanical knowledge & experience with pipe repairs, distribution systems and physical plant systems/assets.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains the Class 2 water treatment plant, water distribution system, wastewater collection system and lagoon system;
- Ensures Town of Hay River Water Treatment Plant operations meet or exceed regulatory and legally required guidelines for water quality and wastewater treatment;
- Keeps current all daily, weekly, monthly and annual checklists and testing records and all records of inspections and testing for the Water Treatment and Wastewater Systems; and
- Inspects, services and repairs components & infrastructure of the water treatment plant, water distribution system and wastewater collection system
