EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Watershed Science, or a related field.
• No related work experience required. - Scientist Associate only
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience. - Scientist only
• Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• In-depth knowledge of natural resources management, forest health, and wildfire mitigation.
• In-depth knowledge of wildfire impacts on water supplies and strategies for reducing wildfire risk to critical infrastructure.
• Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects in a collaborative team environment, resolve conflicts, and negotiate with multiple workgroups or organizations.
