Description:
SKILLS AND ATRRIBUTES FOR SUCCES
- Wealth and Asset Management tax experience within an accounting firm or law firm
- Familiarity with the alternatives asset management / private assets industry, with hedge funds, private equity funds and credit funds being of particular interest
- Experience across a range of fund tax matters, including fund formation, acquisitions and disposals of assets, reorganisations, and asset management structures
- Experience of dealing in UK corporate tax and/or partnership matters
- Client focused and strategically and commercially aware.
- Strong client relationship management skills with ability to develop quality outputs to clients
- Effective time management, ability to meet client deadlines
- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
- Enthusiastic team player with ability to create, sustain and lead effective teams
- Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day leadership of delivery team
Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding tax advisory projects across a range of matters including fund tax, international tax, UK corporation tax, UK income tax, capital gains tax, and other tax matters relevant to the Wealth and Asset Management sector.
- Aligned to a portfolio of long-term accounts, which you can build deep relationships with, and become their trusted advisor.
- Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.
- Role in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing staff development and assignments.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proactive business development to win new work.
- Interaction with other EY offices both in the UK and overseas.
- Contact with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties, including major financial institutions, lawyers and wealth advisory businesses.
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE
- ACA / CTA / Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification
- Strong tax technical skills
- Initiative, professionalism and confidence
- Experience of coaching and developing junior staff
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- The ability to motivate a team; manage, mentor and train junior staff and work with people from across the business
