YOUR IMPACT
The Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) group within the Asset & Wealth Management Division (AWM) is looking for an Associate to join the team based in London.
ACM serves as the central interface between PWM clients and groups within Goldman Sachs, including AWM public and private direct investing efforts and the External Investing Group (XIG) group across private equity, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds and related co-investments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree or Higher
- Deep understanding of financial markets and investment instruments
- Ideally 2-3+ year’s experience in wealth management, asset management, private equity or hedge funds
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage, understand and improve complex systems and process
- Sophisticated and tactful client manager who can effectively manage the entire investor lifecycle
- Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
- Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functionsSolid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Help establish and drive ACM strategy for EMEA and Asia by engaging across stake holders to help the region heads drive the offshore business forward
- Captain and deliber strategic projects for the region focusing around private equity, hedge fund and evergreen offerings
- Accelerate key growth initiatives of the business while helping drive scale across the platform, with a heavy focus on improving the client and advisor experience with Alternatives
- Drive key business objectives for ACM, with a focus on cross-collaboration between teams including legal/compliance/operations/tax
- Navigate across the active Alternative investment offerings within GS to identify areas for continued collaboration, improvement, and risk mitigation so processes can be simplified and improved
- Actively track team’s progress for launching funds, marketing and follow-ups so they can be streamlinedPartner closely with PWM Engineering and Product management to deliver key client experience initiatives and enable launch of new Alternative fund offering
